Thirteen Downtown Vancouver art galleries and Vancouver’s Downtown Association will hold a free “Art in the Heart” community event in the city center on August 6 and 7. Starting at 5:30 p.m. on Friday Aug. 6 the public is invited to stroll from gallery to gallery as artists demonstrate their talents accompanied by live music. At 8:15, the crowd will make its way to Turtle Place at 7th Avenue and Main Street to enjoy a beer garden and a live performance by Seattle’s Hit Explosion on a stage sponsored by First Independent Bank.
